Record Your Memories

22 May

Memories.  That is all our children have left once we are gone.  As a mother I want to make sure that they have as many wonderful memories of our time together as possible.

I recently started a journal and on the dedication page I addressed it to all my children.  I try to document our time together on a weekly basis, whether it is something sad, scary, funny, happy or even boring (although there aren’t very many of those in a household with my three little ones).  It really shouldn’t matter what you write down.   Your children will enjoy and appreciate reading about their time with you while they were growing up.

The point here is that when we are gone we want our children to be able to open up this journal, pick out a page and read a little story, even if it’s the tiniest of  memories, that pertain to them.  Our time here on earth is borrowed so we must make the best and the most out of it before it is too late.

Leave a treasured gift behind for your children.
