Please Stop Asking Me Why….

Please Stop Asking Me Why…..

I don’t do my hair.

I don’t wear makeup.

I don’t own expensive clothes.

I don’t have purses to match my TWO pairs of shoes.

My toenails and fingernails are oddly painted.

It takes me 2 weeks to plan an outing.

My house is rarely in order.

I have a huge pile of laundry.

There are old French fries in my backseat.

I find odd items in my purse (remote control, etc.)

I choose to sometimes order a quick pizza for dinner.

I would rather stay home and take a nap than go out for a drink.

I know almost every SpongeBob episode by heart.

My eyes tear up at a puppy dog commercial.

I gloat over my kids’ accomplishments.

I’m a single mother. This is my life and I’m OK with that.

    LOVE IT !!
I too have been a single mother of 3 and can relate to your posts! Mine are 19, 18 & 17. Wow! They have been a handful at times, but I have just about finished raising them. And soon, they will all be on their own, living their own lives. I am struggling with letting them go… So, I started a blog so I can hopefully learn to write about my new life I will be starting in the near future. So glad I ran into your blog! Your a great writer!

Thank you so much. Isn’t motherhood wonderful? I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. My kids are still at a young age, but as I have learned, time flies by, so I am trying to enjoy every moment possible with them before they hit those teenage years and forget about having a parent. Lol. I see you are a fellow Texan as well, that is awesome. I look forward to reading your material as well and wish you luck in the new chapter beginning in your life.
